About the role
Department: IT Infrastructure & Operations Location: On-site | Full-Time Work Schedule: 9-hour operational shift (Rotational: 12:00 PM 11:00 PM) Reports To: Head of Infrastructure Role Overview We are seeking an L3 Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical escalation point to drive the stability, performance, and automation of our enterprise infrastructure landscape. Core Domain Responsibilities & Skills 1. VMware Virtualization (Platform Engineer) Focus: Enterprise vSphere/vCenter (7.x/8.x) architecture, lifecycle management, and L3 troubleshooting. Tech Stack: ESXi clusters, NSX-T (micro-segmentation/networking), vSAN, and vRealize Suite (vROps). Automation: Bulk provisioning and operations using PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform. 2. HPE Servers & Storage Focus: Deploying and lifecycle-managing enterprise hardware, SAN networks, and capacity scaling. Tech Stack: HPE ProLiant Gen10/Gen11, Synergy, BladeSystem, OneView, and iLO Advanced. Storage: Nimble, Primera/Alletra, 3PAR, StoreOnce (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, zoning). 3. Windows Server Administration Focus: Enterprise Active Directory architecture, core OS management, hardening, and high availability. Tech Stack: Windows Server 2016–2022, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and Failover Clustering (Always On). Automation: Scripting and pipelines using advanced PowerShell/WinRM. 4. ITSM Governance & Operations Focus: Enforcing ITIL 4 frameworks for Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB asset management. Tools: ManageEngine Service Desk Plus (SDP) for workflows, SLA tracking, and RCA/PIR leadership. 5. Monitoring & Core Operations Focus: Designing enterprise monitoring stacks, capacity forecasting, and disaster recovery (DR) testing. Tools: ManageEngine Site24x7, Splunk/ELK, Azure Monitor/AWS CloudWatch, and Python/Bash scripting. Key Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in IT infrastructure, with 3+ years specifically at an L3/Senior level. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience. Certifications: VCP-DCV, HPE ASE/ATP, Microsoft Hybrid Admin, or ITIL 4 (one or more preferred). Soft Skills: Mentorship of L1/L2 engineers, strict accountability, and cross-functional leadership. Availability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for critical P1/P2 incidents.
