About the role
PolicyCenter Run Team Production SupportSupports the PLS PolicyCenter Run Team within the production environment, delivering stable, scalable, and resilient solutions across Nationwides Auto, Property, Powersports, and Umbrella product offerings. Focuses on supporting and enhancing cloudnative and digital capabilities while driving operational excellence and production reliability. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 3 production support for Guidewire PolicyCenter, including incident resolution, defect remediation, and P0/P1 escalations.Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.Design and support monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability solutions using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and New Relic.Drive operational improvements through automation, resiliency enhancements, and performance tuning.Support audit, compliance, and remediation activities as needed.Collaborate across development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver reliable production support and continuous improvement.Preferred Qualifications6+ years of experience supporting and developing Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions.Experience with Guidewire Cloud and cloudbased deployment models.Strong background in Java development, API integrations, and eventdriven architectures.Experience with Kafka, IIB Message Broker, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and deployment automation tools.Experience supporting production environments using DevOps and SRE principles.Strong understanding of Oracle databases and SQL query optimization.P&C insurance industry experience strongly preferred.Software Engineer Security & DevelopmentFocus on mentoring and leading others to deliver high quality, costeffective technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custombuilt applications. Key ResponsibilitiesApply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.Mentor and train team members on design techniques, tools, and coding standards.Provide strategic advice on using technology to achieve business goals.Drive crosscollaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software according to standards and optimal practices.Champion the use of DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques.Ensure continuous learning and improvement through ongoing training, practice, and innovation.Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.May perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications & ExperienceUndergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or related field strongly preferred.Six years of experience in programming and systems analysis.Three years of experience in project management preferred.Proficiency in one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.Knowledge of software development lifecycle; proven ability to tackle sophisticated business and development problems.Handson technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.Ability to work in agile and global environments; time management and prioritization.Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.Reporting StructureReports to Technology Manager/Director India.
