About the role
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Storage Administrator with 45 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage and backup environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining SAN/NAS storage infrastructure, ensuring data availability, performance, integrity, and protection across mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain enterprise storage arrays (e.g., EMC/Dell, NetApp, Hitachi, IBM, HPE 3PAR/Primera, Pure Storage). Provision, allocate, and reclaim storage (LUNs, volumes, file shares) based on capacity and performance requirements. Configure and manage SAN environments including fibre channel switches, zoning, and fabric management (Brocade/Cisco MDS). Administer NAS environments (NFS/CIFS shares, quotas, snapshots) on platforms such as NetApp/Isilon. Manage and monitor backup and recovery operations (Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam, Dell Networker, or similar). Perform storage performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning to meet SLAs. Implement replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery solutions (synchronous/asynchronous). Handle storage migrations, array refreshes, firmware/microcode upgrades, and decommissioning. Troubleshoot storage, connectivity, and backup failures; perform root-cause analysis and resolution. Configure and maintain multipathing on connected hosts (Linux, Solaris, Windows, VMware). Maintain documentation, runbooks, capacity reports, and configuration records. Collaborate with server, virtualization, database, and network teams on storage requirements. Participate in on-call rotation, change management, and after-hours maintenance windows.
