As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of the plant. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and optimizing plant process performance to ensure safe and efficient operations. - Preparing and reviewing process engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing, and operating procedures. - Supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and plant startup/shutdown activities. - Performing process simulations and evaluating process improvements for productivity and energy efficiency. - Coordinating with production, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance teams for smooth plant operation. - Ensuring compliance with process safety standards, HSE guidelines, and quality requirements. - Analyzing operational data and identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. - Supporting root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for operational issues. - Assisting in vendor discussions, technical evaluations, and project execution activities. - Maintaining proper engineering documentation and reports. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline. - 1-2 years of relevant experience in process engineering in chemical industries/ Specialty Chemicals. - Good understanding of process calculations, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles. - Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, separators, and utilities. - Familiarity with process safety standards and industrial best practices. - Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software/tools. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred skills that would be beneficial for this role: - Experience in commissioning or pilot plant operations. - Knowledge of process automation and instrumentation coordination. - Exposure to Chlorine, H2O2, hydrogen or advanced material industries will be an added advantage. - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
