As a Trainee Engineer in the SCALE UP & COMMERCIALIZATION department of a Chemical Industries company, you will have the opportunity to support senior engineers in various tasks to ensure safe plant operations and enhance productivity. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting senior engineers in monitoring plant process performance and ensuring safe day-to-day operations. - Supporting the preparation and review of process engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, and standard operating procedures. - Participating in commissioning activities, plant startup/shutdown procedures, and routine troubleshooting under supervision. - Contributing to process simulation exercises and documenting improvement recommendations for productivity and energy efficiency. - Coordinating with production, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance teams for smooth plant operations. - Learning and strictly adhering to process safety standards, HSE guidelines, and quality requirements. - Collecting, recording, and organizing operational data to support analysis and performance reporting. - Assisting in root cause analysis exercises and documenting corrective and preventive action reports. - Providing support during vendor discussions, technical evaluations, and project execution activities. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation, logs, and reports as directed. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline (recently graduated or graduating within the year). - 01 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates from accredited engineering programs are encouraged to apply. - Basic understanding of process calculations, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles. - Foundational knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, separators, and utilities. - Awareness of process safety concepts and industrial best practices. - Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to engineering simulation or design software is an added advantage. - Strong learning aptitude, analytical thinking, and good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Academic or project-level exposure to process design, pilot operations, or chemical process simulation tools. - Basic familiarity with process automation concepts and instrumentation fundamentals. - Exposure to specialty chemicals, advanced materials, or research-oriented laboratory environments. - Demonstrated ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within teams. Additionally, candidates who can join within 15 days are preferable.
