About the role
As a Java DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing automated software delivery pipelines. Your responsibilities will include dockerizing Java applications, automating CI/CD workflows, managing container orchestration, maintaining build tools, and scripting automation tasks. You will ensure fast, highly reliable, and zero-downtime deployments by bridging the gap between Java development and IT operations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and optimize automated software delivery pipelines. - Dockerize Java applications (e.g., Spring Boot microservices) and automate CI/CD workflows. - Manage container orchestration on platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift. - Maintain automated build tools like Maven or Gradle. - Script automation tasks using Bash or Python. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in Java development and DevOps engineering. - Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. - Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization. - Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift. - Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. - Experience with Maven and Gradle. - Proficient in Bash and/or Python scripting. - Knowledge of Git and version control workflows. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
