Senior Technical Marketing Engineer – Automotive Electrification

Responsibilities

Technical Market Experience Serve as the automotive system wide technology subject‑matter expert for future automotive electrification needs Motor control (PMSM, servo systems, FOC algorithms) Power electronics (Power modules, gate drivers, signal conditioning, inverter control) Embedded control (MCUs, MPUs, real‑time control) Sensors (Hall, TMR, current sense, torque, rotor position, etc) Analyze market trends, architectures, and competitive solutions in automotive EV systems. Define application reference architectures and designs leveraging full portfolio of relevant onsemi solutions. Form strategic partnerships with Tier 1’s, OEM’s, and other technology vendors to bring onsemi leading technology to market. Product Positioning & Messaging Translate product features into clear customer value propositions (performance, efficiency, safety, cost, scalability). Develop technical positioning, differentiation, and competitive battlecards. Influence product roadmap by bringing customer and market requirements back to engineering and product management. Customer & Field Engagement Support key customer engagements alongside sales and FAEs: Technical presentations Architecture reviews Design‑in support and concept validation Act as a technical bridge between customers and internal R&D teams. Gather voice‑of‑customer feedback globally into clear market leading requirements. Go ‑ to ‑ Market Execution Create high‑impact technical collateral, including: Application notes White papers Reference designs Evaluation guides System block diagrams Deliver technical training for internal sales teams and partners. Support product launches with demos, webinars, and conference presentations. Ecosystem & Industry Engagement Represent the company at automotive industry events. Work with partners on joint solutions and ecosystem enablement.
