Mongo DBA

As a MongoDB Engineer at our fast-scaling technology solutions provider, your role will involve architecting, deploying, and optimizing mission-critical data platforms for global clients across fintech, healthcare, and SaaS verticals. You will be responsible for ensuring high-availability, performance, and security for petabyte-scale deployments by leveraging automation, observability, and modern DevOps practices. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, deploying, and managing highly available MongoDB clusters (Replica Sets, Sharded Clusters) across on-prem and cloud environments. - Optimizing query performance, indexing strategies, and storage engines to meet SLA-driven latency and throughput targets. - Implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using mongodump, mongorestore, and MongoDB Ops Manager/Cloud Manager. - Monitoring cluster health via MongoDB Atlas, Prometheus, Grafana, and custom alerting pipelines; proactively resolving bottlenecks and capacity issues. - Enforcing security best practices such as role-based access control (RBAC), TLS encryption, audit logging, and compliance with SOC2/GDPR standards. - Collaborating with DevOps and app teams to automate MongoDB provisioning, scaling, and CI/CD pipeline integrations using Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes operators. Qualifications Required: - Experience with MongoDB, Replica Sets, and Sharded Clusters. - Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager. - Familiarity with mongodump and mongorestore. - Understanding of RBAC. - Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform is preferred. - Experience with Prometheus is a plus.
