Business Analyst

As a Senior Associate/Team Lead in the Central Growth Analytics team at Paytm, your role will involve working across various verticals - growth, business, and planning to drive critical analyses, generate user growth insights, and set up new data processes that drive efficiencies within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources - Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems - Developing and maintaining databases, data systems reorganizing data in a readable format - Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data - Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends - Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements - Setting up robust automated dashboards to drive performance management - Generating meaningful actionable insights from large internal datasets that capture customer journeys on the Paytm app and sharing the findings with the senior management - Conducting regular review meetings and sending regular updates on business analytics tasks. Keeping all stakeholders on the same page without any ambiguity Qualifications Required: - Problem-solving skills to assess what data is required to prove hypotheses and derive actionable insights - Analytical skills with top-notch excel skills - Experience with SQL/Hive and data visualization tools - Strong communication and project management skills - Bachelors degree in engineering/science/mathematics or related domain - 2-5 years of work experience in top analytics companies or tech startups in data-related roles - Demonstrated experience in handling large datasets and relational databases - High-level written and verbal communication skills Technical Requirements: - Proficiency in SQL/Hive and deep expertise in building scalable business reporting solutions - Past experience in optimizing business strategy, product, or process using data & analytics - Working knowledge in at least one programming language like Scala, Java, or Python - Working knowledge of Dashboard visualization and CLM tools.
