About the role
As a Cloud Application Migration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cloud application migration leaders and various teams to ensure successful migration projects with minimal risk and business disruption. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining and creating application migration plans in coordination with cloud application migration leaders. - Executing migration projects by working closely with Infra engineer, Dev Ops, Application Teams, and other stakeholders. - Providing expertise in cloud migration covering infrastructure, application architectures, cloud capabilities, and security. - Collaborating with application teams to identify candidate applications for cloud migration based on pre-defined application rationalization. - Defining appropriate migration strategy for each application considering cost and complexity of options such as Rehost, Re-Platform, Rearchitect, etc. - Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigating actions to ensure smooth migration projects. - Ensuring migrated applications comply with required security standards. - Monitoring relevant cloud application migration KPIs to ensure program health and efficiency. - Working with Cybersecurity to monitor the company's cloud privacy and respond to technical issues promptly. - Identifying top cloud architecture solutions to meet the strategic needs of the company effectively. - Knowledge of CI/CD using Azure DevOps is essential. - Required skills include proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, IaC, Cloud Native know-how, and Application development knowledge. - Additional skills in DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, and Cloud Security are considered add-ons. This role requires hands-on experience in configuration, migration, and deployment related to Azure and AWS/Other cloud platforms IaaS/PaaS Technologies. Your expertise will contribute to the successful migration of applications to the cloud while ensuring security and efficiency throughout the process.
