Job title: Lead Cloud Data Engineer Seniority level: Senior/Lead Exp: 10+ yearsExperience Required: Minimum 7 years of Cloud Data Engineer experience is mandatory.Location: BangaloreWork Mode: Hybrid Skills Required: At Lead level for this role, were generally looking for candidates who go beyond hands-on delivery and are already operating with broader ownership and influence. Specifically: End-to-end ownership of data platforms or product areas not just building pipelines, but owning design, reliability, and outcomes Strong AWS data engineering depth ability to make decisions across services (Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, etc.), not just use them Architecture and design experience able to define approaches, trade-offs, and patterns for scalable data platforms Leadership / influence either formal team leadership or clear evidence of guiding other engineers and shaping solutions across teams Decision-making and problem ownership candidates should be able to explain why something was done, not just what was implemented Clear communication ability to explain complex systems simply and structure thinking clearly Strong data engineering skills, including building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines. Responsibilities Technical Leadership: o Provide direction and be responsible for the build out of Data Products to service various operations and regulatory needs. o Implement software engineering strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business and product objectives. o Contribute to the definition of applications development policies, standards, and procedures. Mentoring: o Lead and mentor junior software development team members, fostering a culture of innovation, automation, collaboration, and excellence. o Take active part in career development and performance of junior software development team members. Project Delivery: o Execute software projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. o Execute project plans and application designs to ensure projects are aligned with standards and IT strategy. .
