As a Release Manager, your role involves owning and overseeing the enterprise platform team's code repositories. You will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating software releases across brands and channels to ensure smooth delivery within scope and minimal risk to the business. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the health and integrity of the code repositories. In your day-to-day activities, you will: - Identify release-ready issues in coordination with Project managers and Product teams - Plan and schedule delivery dates for mobile/API/Web releases - Maintain the release calendar in Confluence - Collaborate closely with development, QA, Project managers, and KTLO teams - Establish entry/exit criteria for QA and UAT environments - Create Change requests in Jira following the defined checklist - Review Change requests with review boards and seek deployment approval - Coordinate pre-deployment activities with Dev & KTLO teams - Oversee software deployment to production environments - Communicate release-related status to stakeholders and make release decisions including roll-back - Conduct post-release reviews for continuous improvement of release processes - Establish post-release metrics/trends for KTLO team to monitor and report on following a production release - Serve as the primary point of contact for all release-related communications The tools, systems, and scope mentioned in this role include: - Jira for creating Change requests and marking fix versions - Confluence for maintaining the release calendar - QA and UAT environments - KTLO teams - PR details of FBUAT & Main - Primary and DR production environments - Mobile/API/Web platforms and brand-specific releases - Review boards Your attention to detail in preparing Change requests, coordinating with various teams, and enforcing release management processes is crucial to ensuring consistent, predictable, and high-quality releases.
