Cybersecurity Consultant

About the Role Our client is seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to various organizations in Nagpur, Maharashtra . This role involves assessing security risks, developing comprehensive security strategies, and advising on the implementation of security controls to protect against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of cybersecurity domains, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively to diverse audiences. You will work with clients across different industries, helping them enhance their security posture and achieve compliance objectives. This is a contract position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments and gap analyses for clients. Develop and present strategic cybersecurity roadmaps and implementation plans. Advise clients on best practices for information security, data protection, and privacy. Assist clients in developing and refining security policies, procedures, and incident response plans. Evaluate and recommend appropriate security technologies and solutions. Provide expertise in areas such as network security, cloud security, application security, and endpoint security. Support clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS). Conduct security awareness training and workshops for client staff. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Collaborate with client IT and business teams to ensure security objectives are met. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant portion in consulting or advisory roles. Proven experience in conducting security risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing. In-depth knowledge of various cybersecurity domains, including network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and data privacy. Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Experience in developing and delivering security training programs. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC are highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and work effectively in a client-facing role in Nagpur, Maharashtra .
