Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain comprehensive security architectures for telecommunications networks, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization's network infrastructure. Conduct regular security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses. Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, minimizing impact and ensuring swift recovery. Evaluate and integrate new security technologies and solutions to enhance the overall security posture. Provide expert guidance on security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed security throughout the network lifecycle. Mentor and guide junior security engineers and analysts. Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies relevant to the telecoms sector. Requirements Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications security, with a strong focus on network security and threat management. Extensive experience with security technologies such as next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint security, and encryption. Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS) and security protocols (TLS/SSL, IPsec). Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct forensic analysis and incident response. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are highly preferred. Experience in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for security automation is a plus.
