As a Senior IT DevOps Engineer on Progressive's Enterprise Monitoring Platform Services team, you'll play a key role in expanding our enterprise observability and digital experience monitoring capabilities. Leveraging your expertise in Cisco ThousandEyes, you'll help design, deploy, support, and scale monitoring solutions across complex cloud and on-premises environments. Working closely with infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams, you'll drive monitoring strategy, platform adoption, automation, and operational excellence while gaining exposure to Splunk Cloud and broader observability initiatives. This is a remote position for U.S.-based work only. Work Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm ET On-call : Rotational on-call support, approximately every 7 weeks for 1 week Must-have qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions. In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions. Preferred skills Experience deploying, administering, and supporting Cisco ThousandEyes Enterprise Agents and SaaS platform components, including configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, user administration, and operational support. Experience with Splunk Cloud, Splunk Observability, or similar observability platforms preferred. Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and hybrid cloud connectivity across on-premises, cloud, WAN, internet, and SaaS environments. Experience supporting Linux-based Enterprise Agents, virtual appliances, and cloud infrastructure, with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools. Experience integrating ThousandEyes with observability, ITSM, identity management, API, and CI/CD platforms to improve automation, reliability, and operational efficiency. Proven ability to develop technical documentation, runbooks, standards, and governance practices that enhance the security, maintainability, and long-term supportability of ThousandEyes and related observability platforms.
