Role Overview

This role seeks an experienced Azure Engineer with deep expertise in Azure cloud services, focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will contribute to building, configuring, and integrating solutions within the Azure ecosystem, establishing standards, and developing service catalogs. This position requires strong engineering expertise to move beyond monitoring and actively build and configure complex Azure environments. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate fluency in Azure cloud services and architecture. Be proficient in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using scripting, rather than just developing. Work extensively with Azure IS (Infrastructure Services) and PAS (Platform as a Service) tools and various services. Possess strong awareness and understanding of network and security services within Azure. Be knowledgeable about the Azure stack. Understand and apply serialization languages such as JSON and YAML (referred to as 'gravel') to build patterns in Azure cloud. Implement and promote DevOps practices within the Azure environment. Provide engineering expertise to build, configure, and integrate solutions in the Azure cloud. Translate client needs into technical standards for Infrastructure as Code. Utilize configuration management tools including Terraform, Puppet, and Chef. Develop and establish patterns and standards for Azure deployments. Contribute to the development of a comprehensive service catalog. Required Skills: Fluent in Azure cloud. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripting. Azure IS and PAS services. Network services awareness. Security services awareness. Azure stack knowledge. Serialization languages (JSON, YAML/Gravel). DevOps practices. Terraform. Puppet. Chef. Configuration management tools. Qualifications: 4-7 years of experience in Azure cloud. Must be eligible to work in the US. Preferred Skills: Azure certifications are considered a plus.
