Network Security Engineer @ Mumbai

Position: Network Security Engineer Location: Mumbai Duration: Contract to Hire Job Description: 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in IP network security implementation (routing and switching). Understanding of routing protocols like BGP, ISIS, dynamic routing and switching Working knowledge of firewalls, NIDS/IPS/HIDS, including deployment and basic tuning. Exposure to security controls in access networks such as 4g/ 5g, FTTH, Wi-Fi, UBR, and Access Points. Basic understanding of security protocols including RADIUS, TACACS, SSL and TLS. Good understanding of CVE, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools. Fundamental knowledge of IPv4 / IPv6 network security concepts and best practices. Understanding of system hardening and patch management aligned with firm-defined security policies. Exposure to security auditing across operating systems, open-source platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and containers. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in fast-paced telco and cloud environments.
