As a Data Science Leader in the Clean Energy domain, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and creating measurable business value through data science and analytics. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the data science team to ensure alignment with business strategy and delivery of high-impact analytics use cases. - Partnering with business leaders to identify risks, optimization opportunities, and data-driven interventions. - Designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive models using structured and unstructured data. - Overseeing the development and utilization of big data platforms to support clean energy analytics at scale. You will be accountable for: - Tracking operational performance against analytical models and monitoring KPIs related to production efficiency, safety, environmental compliance, and cost optimization. - Identifying, monitoring, and quantifying operational, safety, and environmental risks using advanced analytics techniques. - Driving the adoption of a data science culture across business units. - Managing external analytics partners, vendors, and research collaborators. - Building and developing data science talent through recruitment and mentoring. - Leading the formulation and optimization of algorithms supporting clean energy products and services. Skills required for this role: - High proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or similar technologies. - Strong expertise in probability, statistics, machine learning, and optimization techniques. - Experience working with big data platforms and distributed systems. - Hands-on experience with statistical and modeling tools such as SAS, R, and MATLAB. - Expertise in time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and sensor/operational data analytics. - Strong understanding of data management, databases, and data pipeline architectures. - Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills. To be eligible for this position, you should have: - Minimum 9 years of experience in data science, analytics, or advanced modeling roles. - Proven track record of leading high-performing data science teams and delivering measurable business impact. - Demonstrated experience in advanced quantitative analysis and statistical modeling. - Experience leading cross-functional teams in mid-to-large organizations. Preferred educational qualifications include: - Masters degree (MS/M.Tech or equivalent) in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields from a reputed Tier-I institute. - Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech/BS or equivalent) in Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines from a reputed university or college.
