About the role
As an experienced professional in chemical engineering within the Refining or Petrochemical Industry, your role will involve implementing operational plans for existing and new product/technology projects to enhance plant performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating closely with the manufacturing team to support in achieving performance targets and ensuring efficient production processes - Providing technology-related insights during root cause analyses of process and engineering challenges - Analyzing plant-specific norms to enhance efficiency and resource utilization - Offering recommendations to optimize operations, catalyst performance, operating conditions, cycle time, and product quality - Evaluating and prioritizing plant enhancements for projects aligning with strategic objectives - Assessing technology components, catalysts, chemicals, and additives for tech development - Benchmarking performance and auditing plant and energy performance for data-driven decisions - Generating technology comparison reports for informed decision-making - Providing technical expertise to drive teams towards operational excellence - Supporting R&D for scale-up and plant level trials - Executing commercial plant trials for new technologies and smooth transitions - Creating and maintaining accurate simulation and APC models for data-driven insights - Implementing recommendations based on quarterly product performance benchmarking reports - Supporting targeted plant monitoring for opportunity identification - Partnering with cross-functional teams for seamless integration and success - Participating in PSM activities to promote safety and operational integrity Additionally, you should possess: - Education Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from a Premium Institute - Experience: 8-14+ years of relevant experience in Smart IT technology, chemical engineering in the Refining or Petrochemical Industry Your functional competencies should include knowledge of product technology, latest tools & simulation studies, product development, application of science & engineering principles, modelling standards, project standards, project execution standards, plant HSE use cases, process optimization, and innovation management.
