Job DescriptionWe are looking for a seasoned Embedded Systems Developer with 8 12 years of hands-on experience in firmware development and embedded software engineering. The ideal candidate will work on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for various real-time applications in automotive and IoT domains.rnr: Responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded firmware and software for microcontroller-based systems. Write, debug, and optimize C/C++ code for real-time applications. Design and implement device drivers and low-level software components. Work with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc. Hands-on experience with STMicroelectronics and Renesas microcontroller platforms. Knowledge of SoC chips related to Battery Management Systems (BMS) and ADAS. Design embedded solutions with support for OTA, MQTT, and similar IoT protocols. Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of embedded applications. Optimize code for performance and power efficiency in constrained environments. Integrate communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and wireless (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa). Collaborate with hardware teams to define system-level requirements and resolve integration issues. Develop smart and efficient embedded algorithms tailored to automotive functional requirements. Lead a team: manage hiring, mentoring, project tracking, and team performance. Manage budgeting, tool/license forecasting, and infrastructure planning for the embedded function. Technical Skills Requirements Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development. Experience with ARM Cortex, STM32, ESP32, or similar MCUs. In-depth understanding of RTOS concepts, multitasking, and inter-process communication. Familiarity with development tools like Keil, IAR, GCC, Segger Embedded Studio. Proficient in using debugging tools: JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes. Strong grasp of hardware schematics, PCB layout, and signal tracing. Exposure to IoT platforms, cloud connectivity, and data security considerations. Understanding of APN configurations, data management, and secure communication. Exposure to Linux-based embedded development (Yocto, Buildroot) is desirable. Familiar with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) with AI/ML applications in embedded systems is a value-add preferred. Behavioural Competencies Strong leadership with a proactive and go-getter attitude. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Effective stakeholder management, especially with cross-functional internal teams. Self-driven and adaptable to fast-paced, energetic environments.
