Supervisor - Safety

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  On site observation, monitoring and reporting for control about unsafe condition and unsafe act at site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Carry out inspection of vehicles, construction machinery, tools and equipment, electrical installations, shuttering/scaffolding structures, Fire & First Aid equipment, and PPE according to the checklist and schedule.
2. Supervision of usage of proper safety equipment/ methods required for particular job tasks / activities
3. Recording of the correct/ incorrect safety practices followed at site and action taken for rectification of the same.
4. Assistance in periodic safety training, safety induction, daily tool box meeting for labours, Staff and Visitors.
5. Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, ensuring Doctor's visit to the labour camps. Supervise proper housekeeping, pest control at the site.
6. Ensure procurement and availability of safety material in time and effective utilization of the same
7. Handling critical situations like accidents/ incidents and carrying out accident analysis, preventive actions to be taken
8. Value additions improving safe and hygienic working conditions. Proactive measures taken for Environment safety.
9. Effective co-ordination with team members, seniors, other depts., consultants etc. for smooth implementation of safety norms KEY DELIVERABLES / PERFORMANCE MEASURES
10. Identify and ensure compliance of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
11. Efforts to minimize injuries at site.

KEY CHALLENGES

1. Maintain the safety skill of work force which is highly volatile in terms of frequent shifting of work location.
2. Sustain pressure of work speed with safety and legal requirements relating to workforce.

IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE Knowledge

1. Graduation: 12Th Passed with Diploma in safety management or Fire and safety.
2. Minimum 0 to 6 Months experience in Building Construction safety job

Skill

1. Good written and spoken communication skills (English and Hindi) 2. Sound physique. 3. Basic computer operations and E mailing.
