Overview The Oracle/PLSQL Developer plays a pivotal role in our organization by ensuring robust data management and seamless database operations. This position is critical as it focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining applications built on Oracle databases utilizing PL/SQL. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with various teams to analyze business requirements, optimize database performance, and implement innovative solutions. A successful Oracle/PLSQL Developer will not only possess strong technical skills but also be adept at troubleshooting and problem resolution, directly impacting the efficiency and productivity of the organization. Ultimately, this role is integral to supporting data-driven decision-making and ensuring high levels of database availability, making it essential for our organization's operational success. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain database objects including tables, views, sequences, and indexes. Write efficient and optimized PL/SQL code for backend processes. Analyze and understand business requirements to translate them into technical specifications. Implement data models that adhere to best practices and business needs. Conduct performance tuning of PL/SQL code and Oracle databases. Develop ETL processes for data migration and transformation tasks. Work closely with QA analysts to create test plans and perform unit testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data integration projects. Maintain technical documentation for database architectures and development processes. Create stored procedures, functions, and triggers within the Oracle environment. Identify and troubleshoot database issues, implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure security measures are in place for database access and data integrity. Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. Stay updated on Oracle database features and best practices. Assist in the evaluation and selection of tools and technologies to improve development processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience working with Oracle databases. Hands-on expertise in PL/SQL programming and Oracle SQL. Experience in database design and data modeling. Solid understanding of database management systems and their architecture. Familiarity with Oracle database performance tuning techniques. Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with version control systems, like Git. Knowledge of Oracle tools such as SQL*Plus, Oracle Data Integrator, or Oracle Forms. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Relevant certifications (Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is beneficial.
