Role : SAP API Exp : 2-4 years Notice period : 0-30 days Mode of work : WFO Location : Bangalore ( 5th,6th,11th,14th March) Pune( 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th March ) Overview The SAP API Specialist plays a crucial role in the implementation, management, and optimization of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) within the SAP ecosystem. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of various applications and services across the organization, facilitating data exchange and process automation. The SAP API Specialist collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to define integration strategies that are aligned with business objectives. This role is central to enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and enabling real-time data access. Given the growing importance of digital transformation, the SAP API Specialist also contributes to innovation initiatives, collaborating with IT and business units to develop solutions that leverage APIs for strategic advantage. As such, this role requires a combination of technical expertise, a deep understanding of business processes, and excellent communication skills, making it vital for the success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain APIs for SAP applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements. Implement and enforce API security protocols. Documentation of API specifications, technical designs, and code changes. Conduct system testing to ensure reliability and performance. Monitor and troubleshoot API performance issues. Coordinate with development teams to integrate APIs into existing systems. Evaluate and recommend API management tools and technologies. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in API development. Provide training and support to internal teams on API usage. Facilitate communication between IT and business departments. Develop and iterate on documentation for API consumers. Assist with the migration of legacy systems to API-based integrations. Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation. Support data governance and compliance efforts within API frameworks. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in SAP integration and API development. Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and other API protocols. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python. Strong understanding of data mapping and transformation processes. Knowledge of API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft). Experience with Agile project management methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience in testing and quality assurance for APIs. Basic understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture. Experience in monitoring tools and performance tuning. Ability to adapt to changing technology and business environments. Certifications related to API development or SAP integrations are an advantage.
