Role : SAP BW/BI and ABAP Consutant Exp : 6-10 years Notice period : 0-15 days Mode of work : WFO Location : Bangalore Mandatory skills : SAP BW on HANA, ABAP and IP Overview The SAP BW/BI and ABAP Consultant plays a critical role in enabling organizations to harness the power of their data. This position is responsible for the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP BW/BI solutions that facilitate business intelligence and reporting. The consultant will utilize their expertise in ABAP programming to optimize performance and extend the functionality of SAP applications. In today's data-driven environment, the effectiveness of business decisions relies heavily on the robustness of data warehouses and analytical solutions. The consultant will partner with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solutions, and translate data into actionable insights, ultimately driving better decision-making and strategic initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design and implement BW models catered to specific business requirements. Develop and enhance SAP BW data flow processes. Utilize ABAP programming to create custom reports and functionalities. Analyze and optimize existing BW queries for performance improvements. Conduct thorough testing and validation of all data-related processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new BI solutions. Implement ETL processes to ensure seamless data extraction and loading. Support users in reporting and analytical activities using BI tools. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently. Stay up to date with SAP BW/BI best practices and innovations. Provide training and support to end-users and business teams. Document design and development processes effectively for future reference. Participate in project planning and management activities. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP BW/BI solutions with other systems. Enhance existing BI tools and dashboards as per user feedback. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in SAP BW/BI and ABAP development. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Experience with data modeling and designing data flows in SAP BW. Proficiency in ABAP programming, with the ability to write efficient code. Familiarity with SAP HANA and its integration with BW solutions. In-depth knowledge of BI reporting tools such as SAP Lumira or SAP Analytics Cloud. Experience with ETL tools and techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration. Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure. Project management skills, with experience in delivering on-time solutions. Understanding of SAP modules, such as SD, MM, or FI, is a plus. Knowledge of best practices in functional design and user experience. Certification in SAP BW/BI or ABAP is highly desirable. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
