QA Automation Engineer (Senior)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation frameworks, test architecture, and modern QA methodologies. This role requires deep hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade applications. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving automation strategy, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality software releases. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated test frameworks for web applications using Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit/TestNG, and related tools. Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Implement and enhance Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks using Cucumber or similar tools. Build and maintain automation solutions for RESTful API testing to validate backend services for reliability and scalability. Perform performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and analyze system bottlenecks. Validate authentication and authorization mechanisms including Single Sign-On (SSO) and OAuth. Conduct automated accessibility testing using Lighthouse or similar tools to ensure compliance with accessibility standards Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Review code, improve automation standards, and ensure best practices are followed across the QA function. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex automation and testing issues. Contribute to test strategy, risk assessment, and quality improvement initiatives. Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance when required. Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 9+ years of experience in software testing with strong focus on automation. Strong hands-on experience in Java programming. Expertise in automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), JUnit/TestNG. Experience in API automation using REST Assured or similar tools. Hands-on experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter. Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and test framework design. Experience with CI/CD tools and automation integration. Strong knowledge of SSO, OAuth authentication, and API security validation. Experience working with databases, particularly Oracle. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.
