About the role
You are an experienced Lead Architect who will be responsible for designing and governing a secure, scalable API-led microservices architecture for a headless banking workflow platform hosted on AWS Cloud. Your role involves defining the overall system architecture, designing headless architectures integrated with BPM/Workflow engines, and establishing API standards, governance, and versioning strategies. You will also design and implement AWS cloud architecture, ensure banking-grade security, and guide engineering teams on best practices and communication patterns. Key Responsibilities: - Define and own the overall system architecture for API-led microservices solutions. - Design headless architectures integrated with BPM/Workflow engines. - Define the microservices strategy, including BFF and domain/business microservices, integration and orchestration patterns. - Establish API standards, governance, and versioning strategies. - Design and implement AWS cloud architecture (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, etc.). - Ensure banking-grade security, compliance, and audit readiness. - Guide engineering teams on Spring Boot best practices, microservices communication patterns, and data architecture. - Review solution designs, architecture decisions, and critical code components. - Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams. - Mentor senior developers and enforce architectural governance and best practices. Qualifications Required: - Strong experience with Microservices architecture and the Spring Boot ecosystem. - Hands-on experience with BPM/Workflow engines (such as Camunda, Activiti, Flowable) and AWS Cloud services. - Strong understanding of BFF architecture pattern, service orchestration vs choreography, caching strategies, performance optimization, and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT). - Preferred experience in banking or financial services domain and designing enterprise-scale distributed systems. Soft Skills: - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to influence architecture decisions across teams. - Strong leadership and mentoring capability.
