Product Owner Financial Planning and Analysis

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong business acumen in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Accounting and proven experience in Agile product management. The ideal candidate should be able to bridge business and technology teams, understand financial planning processes, and drive product delivery through effective stakeholder management and backlog prioritization. Experience with OneStream is preferred; however, candidates with a strong willingness to learn the platform are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements. Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team. Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and product roadmap discussions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. Act as the primary point of contact between business users and the development team. Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact. Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvements. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner , Business Analyst, or similar Agile product role. Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Accounting concepts, including: Budgeting Forecasting Reading and interpreting P&L statements Revenue, Expenses, Income, and Financial Reporting Basic knowledge of OneStream or a willingness to learn the platform. Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven experience in: Product Backlog Management Prioritization Stakeholder Management Backlog Refinement Sprint & Release Planning Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) or Financial Planning tools such as OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, SAP BPC, Anaplan, or Workday Adaptive Planning . Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) is an added advantage.
