Java Developer

Softthink Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Java Developer to join our team in Herndon, VA to support our client project.

• Automate the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) (Jenkins, Docker,

Git, AWS, Terraform) process for our Applications.

• Monitor communication channels, monitoring tools, and related systems to ensure awareness

of system stability, health, and performance.

• Provision AWS components (i.e. Amazon Web Services), such as EC2, S3, Fargate, ECS

Clusters, IAM, Lambda, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Cloud Formation Templates, and various

other services.

• Participate in Functional Specification documents and Architecture documents preparation and

prepare low level design and high level design.

• Prepare detailed design artifacts including Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, etc.

• Implement JEE Web application(s) using Java 8, JDBC, Collections API, Stream API,

Functional interfaces, Lambda expressions, Predicates, JSP, Servlets, EJB, CSS, RESTful Web

Services, Java Design Patterns, Hibernate, Spring Boot framework, Spring MVC, Struts, UML

modeling, OOAD, XML, XSLT, DOM and SAX Parser, Angular framework, AJAX,

JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ANT, Log4J, Oracle RDBS, and PostgreSQL.

• Perform code review and develop unit test cases using JUnit for back-end and Jasmine &

Karma for front-end.

• Deploy and administer components using the Application Server (Jboss AS, WebLogic,

Tomcat Apache, etc).

• Manage auto build processes using Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, SVN, Jenkins CI/CD, etc.

• Interact and co-coordinate with the technical teams.

• Ability to understand current production problems when issues are raised and be able to

analyze and effectively provide solutions.

• Participate in all agile ceremonies.

• Participate in System Integration testing and perform migrate development instance to SIT,

provide assistance to SIT for their queries, monitor the Issue which is raised by SIT team,

provide solution and patch to SIT team.

• Participate in User Acceptance testing and perform migrating SIT instance to UAT, data

Integrity validation tests, providing assistance to client.

• Prepare Implementation steps for Production release.

• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities;

contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across

multiple environments and operating platforms.

At our company and at our client’s company, a Java Developer requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, , computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
