About the role
Role Overview: You will be a data specialist in the Data Solutions team, which serves as the Data Centre of Excellence for Standard Chartered Finance & Treasury Function. This role involves working on strategic initiatives and data remediation projects for Finance, Capital & Liquidity Risk Management. You will have the opportunity to enhance your data skills and develop domain knowledge in Bank products, Capital management, Financial Management & Liquidity Management. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in S166 audit and assist in preparing management responses to auditors' queries - Analyze and validate optimal data sources for critical data elements to ensure high-quality data availability - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data gaps and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and quantify business impact - Implement data governance principles to source data with appropriate controls and governance - Work with upstream data owners and technology partners to define delivery mechanisms meeting data requirements - Influence senior stakeholders to support change management activities for successful implementation of data solutions - Escalate data quality issues with upstream for management oversight and remediation - Understand the changing data landscape with upstream for effective transition paths Qualification Required: Ideal candidate requirements: - 6 years of work experience in finance/risk/business projects in financial services - Domain knowledge in banking products or finance processes such as Capital/Liquidity management - Strong understanding of data governance principles and ability to define standards for Critical data elements - Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in advanced SQL or Python is desirable - Experience in managing regulatory audits will be advantageous Additional Details: Standard Chartered is an international bank committed to making a positive impact for clients, communities, and employees.
