About the role
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience tracing buried facilities using Electromagnetic Locating techniques.
Ability to execute surveys in an accurate, efficient, detailed and safe manner.
Proficiency with GPS, Total stations and Electromagnetic Locators. Working knowledge of Trimble GPS and Trimble Total Stations is an asset.
Advanced drone license is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This position may require seasonal travel to various sites across western Canada, including Fort McMurray.
Experience working in remote field environments.
Physical ability to work in mountainous and forested terrain with the ability to lift/carry heavy equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Willingness to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain, willingness to work in wildlife populated areas, and willingness to work in remote field areas for extended periods and varied hours.
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 2 years of field survey experience.
Required Certifications (must have or be able to complete the following):
Standard First Aid
H2S Alive
WHMIS
CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training System)
CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
Line Locating Certification
Valid Driver’s License.
