Senior QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) Experience: 1015 Years Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Location: [Location/Remote] Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 1015 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in Playwright and modern automation frameworks, along with a proven track record of leading QA initiatives, designing scalable automation solutions, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) . Lead end-to-end test automation strategy for enterprise web applications. Develop and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, API, and end-to-end automated test suites. Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Review requirements and provide quality assurance recommendations during planning and design phases. Perform root cause analysis for defects and ensure timely resolution. Define QA best practices, automation standards, and coding guidelines. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers. Improve automation coverage, execution time, and overall testing efficiency. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and release activities. Prepare test metrics, quality dashboards, and status reports for stakeholders. Required Skills 1015 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation. 4+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright . Strong programming experience in TypeScript or JavaScript . Expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns. Strong experience in API automation using REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools. Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs. Experience with SQL and database validation. Hands-on experience with Git and source control management. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Experience using defect management tools such as Jira or Azure Boards. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6. Exposure to Selenium, Cypress, or Appium. Experience testing microservices and distributed systems. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Demonstrated experience leading QA automation initiatives for enterprise applications. Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
