Role & responsibilities Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Azure DevOps | PowerShell | WiX/InstallShield) Experience: 3-7 Years Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) Work Model: Hybrid (Candidate must be based in Bangalore and willing to work from the office) Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with 3-7 years of experience in build and release engineering, CI/CD automation, and Windows installer packaging. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML, Git version control, and Windows installer technologies such as WiX Toolset or InstallShield . This role involves designing, automating, and maintaining enterprise-grade build and deployment pipelines while ensuring high-quality software releases. The candidate will work closely with development, QA, and release teams to streamline deployment processes, automate build workflows, and improve software delivery efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines . Develop automation scripts using PowerShell for build, deployment, installation, and release activities. Create, customize, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Installer (MSI) packages using WiX Toolset or InstallShield . Configure and manage automated software build and deployment pipelines. Integrate source code repositories with Azure DevOps using Git . Automate software packaging, versioning, deployment, and release management. Collaborate with developers to automate build and deployment processes. Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, and installer-related problems. Maintain version control, branching strategies, and release workflows. Configure deployment environments and automate software releases. Integrate automated testing, code quality analysis, and artifact management into CI/CD pipelines. Improve deployment reliability, scalability, and security through automation. Create technical documentation for deployment, installer creation, and release processes. Participate in production release activities and deployment planning. Support Agile development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 37 years of experience in DevOps, Build & Release Engineering, or Deployment Automation. Strong experience in Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines. Hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting. Strong experience creating Windows installers using WiX Toolset or InstallShield . Experience with Git version control. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with JFrog Artifactory. Experience with NuGet package management. Experience integrating SonarQube into CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Azure Artifacts. Familiarity with MSBuild. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
