We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Packaging Design Engineer / CAD & PLM Engineer to support product design, packaging artwork management, engineering documentation, and label development activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Creo 12 , Windchill PLM , BarTender , and Adobe Illustrator to create and manage product labels, packaging designs, engineering drawings, and product data throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, packaging, regulatory, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate design documentation and product information management. Key Responsibilities CAD Design (Creo 12) Develop 3D models of mechanical components using Creo 12. Create individual parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Prepare manufacturing drawings with GD&T, dimensions, and annotations. Modify existing CAD models based on engineering change requests. Perform assembly verification and interference checks. Maintain CAD standards and best design practices. Support prototype development and design validation. Windchill (PLM/PDM) Manage product data and engineering documentation using Windchill. Create and maintain part structures and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Upload, organize, and control CAD files and engineering documents. Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Maintain revision history and document traceability. Ensure compliance with document control procedures. Support product lifecycle management from design through release. BarTender Design and maintain product labels using BarTender. Generate barcode labels compliant with organizational and customer standards. Configure barcode formats such as: Code 128 QR Code Data Matrix GS1 (if applicable) Update label templates based on engineering or regulatory changes. Manage material lists and label information. Validate label layouts before production release. Coordinate with manufacturing for label implementation. Adobe Illustrator Modify and update packaging artwork. Create and edit label graphics and packaging layouts. Incorporate regulatory text, symbols, and branding elements. Ensure artwork complies with print specifications. Coordinate artwork revisions with marketing, quality, and regulatory teams. Prepare print-ready files for production. Documentation & Engineering Support Prepare engineering documentation and technical records. Maintain document revision history. Support engineering release documentation. Assist in product configuration management. Participate in design reviews. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for document approvals. Freshers with relevant academic projects/internships or candidates with up to 3 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Preferred Experience Experience with packaging design or product labeling. Exposure to regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing. Familiarity with engineering change processes and document control. Knowledge of barcode standards and label compliance. Understanding of manufacturing and product development workflows. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn new tools and processes.
