Job Summary Synechron is seeking a skilled VisionPLUS Professional to support delivery and operations across VisionPLUS banking solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on working knowledge of VisionPLUS CMS and related modules, experience with migrations or upgrades, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective test and implementation plans. The ideal candidate will engage with stakeholders across locations, contribute to testing and deployment activities, and help ensure scalable, reliable, and compliant VisionPLUS-based processes.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential) Extensive hands-on experience with VisionPLUS, including CMS and knowledge of posting changes

Experience across VisionPLUS modules (CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS, and related components) and migration projects

Experience participating in business discussions and translating business terminologies into testing and implementation plans

Ability to develop test plans, test scenarios, and drive QA activities for VisionPLUS environments

Proficiency in testing VisionPLUS interfaces, APIs, and integration points

Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation, with experience in test data preparation

Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM) and defect tracking

Understanding of SDLC/Agile methodologies; ability to participate in cross-functional ceremonies

Clear written and verbal communication; documentation of requirements, test plans, and results

Preferred Skills Experience with newer VisionPLUS modules (e.g., RIS, OMS, HCS) or First VisionPlus instance experience

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation within VisionPLUS contexts

Banking or financial services domain experience and regulatory awareness

Experience with automation scripting and lightweight testing automation

Overall Responsibilities Lead end-to-end QA/testing activities for VisionPLUS projects, including CMS modules, migrations, enhancements, and upgrades

Define and own QA strategy, test approaches, data strategies, and execution governance for VisionPLUS engagements

Validate payment/message formats and flows across ISO 8583, SWIFT MT/MX, and related standards in VisionPLUS

Prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases for VisionPLUS components and direct members/CSM contexts

Conduct functional, integration, regression, SIT, and UAT testing across payment processes

Ensure test environment readiness and scenario-specific setups

Coordinate defect triage, retesting, and closure with development and business teams

Track and report test progress, quality metrics, risks, and issues to stakeholders

Manage test execution in JIRA or equivalent platforms; ensure quality ownership

Drive QA practices and continuous improvement in QA delivery

Develop and maintain project-specific QA documentation throughout the lifecycle

Support go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and coordinate testing activities across locations

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages (Essential & Preferred) Essential: VisionPLUS-related scripting and configuration concepts; COBOL scripting familiarity is a plus

Preferred: Basic scripting (Python, Shell) for automation tasks

Databases/Data Management Essential: VSAM, DB2, Oracle; SQL for data validation and reconciliation

Preferred: Data modeling concepts (star/snowflake), data lineage, data quality practices

Cloud Technologies Preferred: Cloud deployment exposure (Azure, AWS, GCP) for VisionPLUS integrations

Essential: General understanding of cloud concepts and test environments

Frameworks and Libraries Essential: VisionPLUS CMS framework knowledge; APIs/interfaces for CMS integrations

Preferred: Modern integration frameworks, middleware concepts, API gateways

Development Tools and Methodologies Essential: JIRA or HP ALM for test management; Confluence for documentation

Preferred: CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps); test automation frameworks

Security Protocols Essential: Data privacy and compliance awareness in payment testing

Preferred: PCI-DSS awareness and secure testing practices for financial data

Experience Requirements 5–7 years of experience in VisionPLUS testing, CMS, and related modules; with migration project exposure

Experience in testing payment processing environments (cards, switching, settlements) is advantageous

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage test deliverables

Alternative pathways: substantial VisionPLUS CMS testing or implementation experience, relevant certifications

Day-to-Day Activities Design and execute test plans and cases for VisionPLUS CMS and related modules

Perform manual and automated testing, document results and defects

Collaborate with BA, developers, QA, and operations to ensure test coverage

Review test plans and results; participate in defect triage and remediation

Support SIT/UAT, go-live readiness, and post-implementation stabilization

Maintain test artifacts, data sets, and test data management processes

Mentor junior testers and contribute to QA process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • VisionPLUS experience in CMS and related modules; migration/workflow experience

  • Certifications in VisionPLUS or banking technology are advantageous

  • Willingness to continue learning VisionPLUS updates and banking technology trends

  • Professional Competencies Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Clear communication and stakeholder management

  • Leadership and mentorship skills for junior testers

  • Adaptability to evolving VisionPLUS releases and banking requirements
