Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Mid to Senior level engineer, IaC is a big focus via Terraform.

• AWS Networking (Transit Gateways, Mesh Networking in AWS, VPN to onprem) and Terraform.

• Role is less troubleshooting day to day tickets and is more code deployment.

1. Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (AWS Core)

• Build, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure components

• Support provisioning of VPCs, subnets, routing, and networking constructs

• Work with EC2, EKS clusters, ALBs, EFS, and related services

• Support Transit Gateway, VPN, and hybrid connectivity

• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across networking, compute, and platform layers

• Validate infrastructure against vendor and application requirements

1. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Git-Based Workflows)

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and configurations

• Work within Git-based workflows (GitLab, potential ADO transition)

• Support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment

• Manage merge requests, branches, and version control

• Troubleshoot failed Terraform runs and pipeline issues

1. AWS Account Provisioning & Governance

• Support AWS Account Factory (AFT) or similar provisioning models

• Execute account creation and customization workflows

• Configure IAM roles, networking, and baseline guardrails

• Maintain structured multi-account environments and consistency

1. Networking & Connectivity (Cloud + Hybrid)

• Design and troubleshoot VPC connectivity and routing

• Support site-to-site VPN and hybrid connectivity

• Troubleshoot DNS, security group, and network path issues

• Support application connectivity requirements (ports, endpoints, private links)

1. Platform Support for Application Teams

• Translate application requirements into infrastructure designs

• Ensure environments are ready for application and vendor deployment

• Provide guidance on load balancers, ports, and architecture patterns

• Act as escalation point for environment-related issues

1. Access, IAM, and Role Configuration

• Create and manage IAM roles, policies, and instance profiles

• Support secure access for users, applications, and vendors

• Implement role updates required for integrations and installs

1. Environment Build & Readiness Validation

• Ensure environments are built to specification and validated

• Test connectivity and overall readiness

• Identify gaps between expected and actual functionality

1. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

• Resolve infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues

• Work across teams to remove blockers quickly

• Support debugging of complex cross-system issues

1. Collaboration & Communication

• Work with cloud, application, and vendor teams

• Participate in working sessions and provide technical guidance

• Communicate clearly on risks, decisions, and status

1. Prioritization & Time Management

• Operate in high-demand, multi-project environments

• Focus on high-priority deliverables

• Avoid inefficient use of time and prioritize impactful work
