About the role
Role Overview: As a Network Security Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly secure network architectures. You will manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). Additionally, you will continuously monitor networks for vulnerabilities, active threats, and potential breaches, leading incident response efforts to ensure rapid remediation. Your role will also involve conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to maintain compliance with industry standards and data protection laws. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain highly secure network architectures - Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) - Continuously monitor networks for vulnerabilities, active threats, and potential breaches - Lead incident response efforts, conducting thorough root cause analysis and rapid remediation - Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing - Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection laws, and security best practices - Partner closely with internal IT, engineering, and data science teams to harden systems and enforce strict access controls - Act as the primary custodian of IT security, educating staff on security best practices and fostering a security-first culture Qualifications Required: - Must be based in Delhi or willing to relocate immediately - 4+ years of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst, or similar role - Hands-on experience with Next-Gen Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) - Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) and VPN architectures (IPsec, SSL) - Experience with SIEM tools, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and network monitoring solutions - Integrity & Trust: A proven track record of maintaining security integrity and trust within the organization.
