Deputy Manager-Process Quality Assurance (Pune)

Role & responsibilities : Process Quality Assurance - Ensure process capability (Cp/Cpk) meets target for critical compressor parameters - Establish and maintain process control plans and inspection standards - Monitor in-process quality performance across assembly, and testing 2. Defect Reduction & - Problem Solving - Drive reduction of in-process defects and rework - Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and advance Quality tools ) - Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring issues - Handle customer complaints related to process defects 3. Product & - Process Compliance - Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, GD&T;, and customer requirements - Enforce adherence to IATF 16949 standards - Maintain process audits 4. Incoming Quality - Work with supplier quality teams for bought-out compressor components - Monitor incoming quality issues affecting process performance - Drive containment and improvement actions with suppliers 5. Recent Product Introduction (NPI / APQP) - Lead quality activities in APQP, PPAP, and product launches - Ensure process validation and capability studies for new compressors - Approve control plans, PFMEA, and process flow diagrams 6. Process Improvement - Lead continuous improvement projects ( QC story , Six Sigma) - Reduce scrap, rework, and warranty failures - Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE impact through quality) 7. Data Monitoring & - Reporting - Analyze and Prepare quality KPIs (PPM, rejection rate, IPTV ) - Drive data-based decision making for process improvements 8. Audit Management - Lead internal, external, and customer audits - Ensure closure of audit observations / non-conformities - Maintain documentation and records for compliance 9. Team Development & - Coordination - Lead and develop process quality engineers and inspectors - Coordinate with production, maintenance, design, and supply chain teams - Ensure training of operators in quality standards and defect prevention .
