About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing Oracle and SQL Server databases in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of enterprise databases critical to operations, MES, ERP, and quality systems. Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Oracle (preferably 12c/19c) and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Ensure database availability, reliability, and performance across production and development environments. Perform regular backups, restore operations, and manage disaster recovery plans. Monitor and tune database performance (AWR, execution plans, indexing) to ensure high availability and low latency for applications like MES, ERP, QMS. Support data integration between manufacturing systems, equipment, and enterprise IT systems (e.g., SAP, PLM, SCADA). Ensure data integrity and security, implementing appropriate access controls and auditing. Work closely with application teams to support schema changes, data migration, and system upgrades. Automate routine database administration tasks using scripts and job scheduling tools. Participate in root cause analysis for database-related production issues. Implement and maintain replication, high availability (RAC, AlwaysOn), and clustering solutions where applicable. Document architecture, procedures, and standards. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server database administration. Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and views. Experience in managing databases for manufacturing applications (MES, ERP, QMS). Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with GMP/ISO-compliant environments is a plus. Exposure to cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is an advantage. Certifications like Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator preferred.
