Lead Tester

As a QA Lead Tester specializing in BI and Data Testing, your primary responsibility will be to lead quality assurance activities for BI and Data Engineering projects. You will be tasked with ensuring the high-quality delivery of data warehouses, ETL pipelines, reports, and dashboards through effective testing strategies, team leadership, and robust data validation practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead QA activities for BI and data engineering projects - Define test strategy, test planning, and QA processes - Assign, review, and guide QA team members - Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices - Act as the primary QA point of contact for stakeholders - Design, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios - Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing - Validate data across source, staging, and target systems - Oversee ETL testing for data extraction, transformation, and loading - Validate BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and business logic - Track defects, ensure proper documentation, and support RCA Qualifications Required: - 5-6 years of experience in QA, Data Testing, or BI Testing - Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing - Hands-on experience in ETL testing and data warehouse validation - Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) - Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Airflow, or similar) - Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Looker, etc.) - Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts (fact, dimension, SCD) - Experience with test management tools (Jira, ALM, TestRail, Azure DevOps) - Familiarity with Git or version control systems In this role, you will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Analysts, participate in requirement analysis and test planning discussions, communicate test status, risks, and results to stakeholders, maintain test documentation, prepare test summary reports, and support production issue analysis and resolution.
