Job Description: Data Migration Consultant HPQC to Polarion: The consultant will be responsible for analyzing the existing HPQC data model, defining migration mappings, executing extraction, transformation and loading activities, and ensuring data integrity, traceability and successful adoption in Polarion. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute end-to-end data migration from HPQC / HP ALM to Siemens Polarion.Analyze existing HPQC projects, entities, workflows, custom fields, test assets, defects, requirements, attachments and relationships.Define source-to-target data mapping between HPQC and Polarion work items, LiveDocs, workflows and custom attributes.Develop and support data extraction, transformation, cleansing and loading activities using APIs, scripts and migration utilities.Ensure migration of requirements, test cases, test runs, defects, attachments, links, history and traceability wherever applicable.Perform migration dry runs, reconciliation, defect resolution and data validation with business and technical stakeholders.Support Polarion configuration related to work item types, fields, workflows, permissions, reports and dashboards required for migration.Prepare migration approach documents, mapping specifications, validation reports and cutover plans.Coordinate with customer teams, tool owners, testers and project stakeholders during migration planning, UAT and go-live.Provide post-migration support, issue resolution and knowledge transfer to customer teams. Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of experience in ALM tools, data migration or application lifecycle management implementation projects.Hands-on experience with HP Quality Center / HP ALM, including requirements, test plan, test lab, defects, releases, cycles and customizations.Strong working knowledge of Siemens Polarion ALM, including work items, LiveDocs, projects, workflows, custom fields, reports and traceability.Experience in migrating ALM data from legacy systems to Polarion or similar enterprise ALM platforms.Good understanding of ALM data models, traceability, test management and defect lifecycle processes.Proficiency in data extraction and transformation using APIs, SQL, Excel, XML/JSON, Python, Java or similar scripting technologies.Ability to perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation and migration defect analysis.Strong documentation skills for migration strategy, mapping rules, validation criteria and cutover planning.Good communication skills with the ability to work directly with business users, technical teams and customer stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in HPQC / HP ALM to Polarion migration projects.Experience with Polarion connectors, REST APIs, SDKs or third-party migration tools.Knowledge of regulated engineering processes, V-model development, quality management or compliance-driven ALM environments.Experience in test management, requirements management, defect management and release lifecycle processes.Exposure to enterprise integrations involving Jira, Azure DevOps, Teamcenter, DOORS or other ALM / PLM systems.Understanding of migration governance, auditability, rollback planning and production cutover execution.
