About the role
As a Linux Admin and IDM Engineer at RedHat, your role will involve tuning Linux kernels and parameters for heavy EDA workloads. You will be responsible for managing centralized authentication via LDAP and ensuring seamless user access across design sites. Experience with RedHat Satellite or Puppet for patch management and compliance is essential to keep the design environment secure and up to date. Your troubleshooting skills will be crucial in resolving infrastructure bottlenecks at the OS and network levels to prevent any impact on the chip design cycle. Expertise in Red Hat Identity Management (IdM/FreeIPA) is required for managing centralized Host-Based Access Control and sudo rules across the EDA compute farm. You will also oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of identity lifecycle management, including integrating IdM with Active Directory via cross-forest trusts for seamless Kerberos authentication. Additionally, your role will involve deep system performance profiling using tools like tuned-adm, sar, or perf to eliminate I/O wait times and memory bottlenecks during peak simulation cycles. Key Responsibilities: - Tuning Linux kernels and parameters for heavy EDA workloads - Managing centralized authentication via LDAP - Ensuring seamless user access across design sites - Using RedHat Satellite or Puppet for patch management and compliance - Resolving infrastructure bottlenecks at the OS and network levels - Managing centralized Host-Based Access Control and sudo rules - Integrating IdM with Active Directory for seamless Kerberos authentication - Performing system performance profiling to optimize performance during peak simulation cycles Qualifications: - Any Degree As a Linux Admin and IDM Engineer at RedHat, your role will involve tuning Linux kernels and parameters for heavy EDA workloads.
