Oracle OBIEE Expert

Location: Oman Employment Type: Onsite Oman Full-Time Contract Experience: Minimum 8 Years Contract Duration: 24 Months Open Positions: 1 About the Role We are seeking an experienced Oracle OBIEE Expert to design, develop, implement, and support Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle BI architecture, repository (RPD) development, dashboard and report creation, ETL integration, performance tuning, and production support. The role is responsible for delivering robust analytics and reporting solutions while ensuring high availability, data consistency, and optimal system performance. Key Responsibilities Oracle OBIEE Administration Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) environments. Manage Oracle BI Server, Presentation Services, Scheduler, and BI Publisher components. Configure and maintain Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments. Perform environment migrations, deployments, upgrades, and patch management. Repository (RPD) Development Design, develop, and maintain Oracle BI Repository (RPD). Develop and manage Physical, Business Model & Mapping (BMM), and Presentation layers. Configure repository security, initialization blocks, session variables, and application roles. Design metadata models to support enterprise reporting and analytics. Report & Dashboard Development Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports. Create Oracle BI Publisher reports and data models. Develop reusable analyses and reporting templates. Ensure consistency and usability across enterprise reporting solutions. Data Integration & ETL Integrate Oracle OBIEE with enterprise data warehouses and multiple data sources. Develop metadata and ETL specifications for reporting solutions. Validate data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems. Support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities. Performance Optimization Monitor Oracle BI Server performance and optimize query execution. Implement aggregate persistence, caching strategies, and query optimization. Tune RPD models, dashboards, reports, and database interactions. Identify and resolve reporting bottlenecks. Production Support Troubleshoot Oracle Analytics Server and OBIEE production issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes. Support incident, problem, and change management activities. Provide Level 3 support for complex reporting and analytics issues. Documentation & Standards Develop and maintain reporting standards, technical documentation, metadata definitions, and operational procedures. Maintain issue logs, deployment documentation, and release records. Document architecture, configurations, and best practices. Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and reporting standards. Collaboration Work closely with Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, Database, ETL, and Application teams. Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders. Coordinate with Oracle Support during issue resolution and system upgrades. Support business users through training and knowledge transfer sessions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle OBIEE implementation and administration. Strong expertise in: Oracle OBIEE Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Oracle BI Repository (RPD) Oracle BI Publisher Dashboard & Report Development ETL Integration Data Warehouse Concepts Experience in enterprise reporting and analytics environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
