Freelance DevOps Engineer for OCI OpenSearch Integration Test Automation(Remote)

Role Description We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to streamline and optimize our OCI OpenSearch service integration test process. Our current test framework is time-consuming, expensive to rerun, and difficult to debug due to exec container usage. You will play a key role in migrating these integration tests to a robust DevOps pipeline and improve efficiency, observability, and reusability. Responsibilities Migrate current integration test execution from exec containers to DevOps deploy pipeline stages Implement test orchestration using DevOps pipelines in a DAG-style execution model Enable parallel execution of multiple test suites across different OS versions Improve observability by ensuring individual test logs are visible in real-time and isolated by test suite Handle automatic deployment and triggering of tests using MP API, MP Internal API, and Worker Deployments Convert YAML-based test configurations into reusable pipeline stages Design mechanisms to clean up dangling resources post-test runs Required Skills Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI and OpenSearch Expertise in DevOps CI CD tools preferably Oracle DevOps or similar tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI Proficient with test automation and designing DAG-based workflows Hands-on experience with JDK-based test execution using shell or runtime Scripting skills such as Bash or Python for automating deployments and cleanup processes Experience managing complex test environments involving tenant provisioning and infrastructure deployment Project Goals Reduce execution time for MP Integration Tests from approximately 4 hours to minimal through parallel execution Enable selective test reruns without redeploying full environments Improve logging and troubleshooting by isolating logs per test stage Automate test environment cleanup to avoid unnecessary cloud costs .
