Structural Engineer

Role & responsibilities : Perform structural analysis and member sizing using STAAD Pro, aligned with IS codes or applicable international codes for Equipment support structures (skid mounted / static) o Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) include primary and secondary framing, Roof and wall systems, crane buildings, industrial sheds and equipment enclosures. o Conveyor galleries, trestles, platforms, and stairways o Structural buildings including monorail and EOT crane provisions • Design steel connection details and generate validation reports. • Develop structural loading criteria, including dead, live, wind, seismic, equipment, crane & operating loads and prepare design calculations. • Prepare structural load data for civil foundations and support columns. • Develop and tabulate engineering inputs using MathCAD, generate design documentation. • Generate structural MTOs and preliminary quantity estimates for proposals or bidding stages. • Track engineering deliverables against defined SLAs and participate in design reviews with structured MIS-based progress updates. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate flow of equipment loads and layout data required for structural modelling. • Evaluate and engage competent external detail engineering agencies; manage outsourcing workflows to ensure timely delivery of fabrication-ready drawings. • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with industry standards and engineering quality System • Support optimization initiatives to achieve safe, economical and fabrication friendly structural designs while complying with project specifications and applicable codes. Requirements: • Bachelors degree in civil / Structural Engineering. • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably in bulk material handling or mineral processing industries. • Proficient in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design. • Working knowledge of MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Tekla for calculation, drafting, and detailing purposes. • Solid understanding of IS codes and standards related to structural engineering, including wind and seismic load considerations. • Experience in designing: o PEB Structures o Conveyor galleries and trestles Equipment support structures, Bridges o Cross-over walkways, platforms, storage bunkers and structural buildings • Ability to independently handle projects and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
