Java Backend Engineer (Spring / Hibernate)

Job Title: Java Backend Engineer (Spring / Hibernate) Location: Devanahalli -Bangalore (Hybrid) Timings: 6.30PM IST to 3.30 AM IST Immediate Joiners Required Salary: 25 - 35 LPA Project Context We are initiating a Proof of Concept (POC) to modernize and decouple the Rules Engine from an existing enterprise Crew Management system. The goal is to: Improve flexibility and scalability of rule processing Enable cleaner request-response-based architecture Reduce long-term cost and complexity in rule management Key Responsibilities Design and implement backend enhancements in an existing Java-based Crew Manager system Refactor and decouple tightly coupled rule-processing components Build and optimize request-response based integrations with external rule engines Work closely with domain experts to understand complex business logic and workflows Contribute to architecture decisions for scalable rule management Ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability Support POC validation through rapid prototyping and iteration Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in Core Java Proven experience with: o Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred) o Hibernate / JPA Solid understanding of: o Backend system design o API-driven architecture (RESTful services) o Application decoupling patterns Experience working with complex enterprise systems or legacy modernization Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Good to Have Exposure to rules engines / decision systems Experience in airline or crew management systems Prior work on large monolithic system decomposition Familiarity with event-driven or microservices architecture Key Challenges (What Makes This Role Interesting) Working directly with a complex, domain-heavy system Navigating and modifying deep legacy codebases Enabling architectural transformation without disrupting existing workflows High ownership in shaping a solution that could scale into a larger initiative Job Title: Java Backend Engineer (Spring / Hibernate) Location: Devanahalli -Bangalore (Hybrid) Timings: 6.30PM IST to 3.30 AM IST Immediate Joiners Required Salary: 25 - 35 LPA Project Context We are initiating a Proof of Concept (POC) to modernize and decouple the Rules Engine from an existing enterprise Crew Management system.
