About the role
As an Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall (AVDF) Specialist, your role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration with existing database systems and applications. Your key responsibilities will include: - Implementing and managing security policies, controls, and procedures for databases. - Monitoring and analyzing database activity for potential security risks and violations. - Optimizing AVDF performance and database firewall rules for efficiency. - Collaborating with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues. - Keeping abreast of Oracle AVDF updates, patches, and recent releases. - Planning and executing system upgrades in coordination with IT stakeholders. - Setting up monitoring tools to track database and AVDF performance. - Generating regular reports on database security status and potential vulnerabilities. - Developing and implementing incident response plans for security breaches. - Working closely with the IT security team to investigate and resolve security incidents. - Independently monitoring and auditing all database activity, including administrator activity and SELECT query transactions. - Aggregating and correlating database activities from multiple heterogeneous database management systems. - Enforcing separation of duties by monitoring and logging database administrator activities. - Generating alerts whenever policy violations are detected and generating alerts for rule-based or heuristic-based policy violations. - Managing day-to-day operations, administration, and end-to-end management related to DAM solution. - Ensuring coverage and effectiveness of security operations and deployed solutions. - Ensuring optimum security, availability, performance, and capacity of security solutions under management. - Ensuring up-to-date documentation - SOPs, Architecture, etc. to remove dependency on people. - Managing, troubleshooting, and resolving all security incidents. - Ensuring relevant processes are followed for change, incident daily operations. - Identifying and analyzing pain areas in DAM security operations to implement improvements. - Managing Vendor Management, vendor resources, periodic MIS, SLAs reviews, etc. - Publishing relevant MIS, dashboards, and status updates to all stakeholders. - Ensuring timely closure of Audit compliance findings with evidence. - Maintaining compliance reports and dashboards as and when required. - Performing technical evaluations and submitting required plans for any upgrades, updates, migrations, and feature enablement. Your qualifications and experience should include: - Graduation from a Recognized University. Candidates with relevant professional certifications in IT Security will be preferred. - Minimum 6+ years of overall experience in IT Security, with 2-3+ years in DAM. Key Skills required for this role: - Sound knowledge and understanding of DAM and all flavors of the Database. - Sound knowledge and understanding of security operations, Architecture, IT Infrastructure, and various security technologies. - Hands-on experience will be preferred.
