About the role
Mechanical Expert Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in supervision and/or Quality Control Proven experience in mechanical works related to urban infrastructure projects Roles & Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise for supervision and quality control of mechanical works in urban infrastructure projects Review mechanical designs, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for compliance with approved standards and contract requirements Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment Monitor implementation of QA/QC procedures for mechanical works including material approvals and workmanship Review contractor's method statements, work programs, and quality assurance plans related to mechanical installations Conduct inspections, testing, and performance verification of mechanical equipment and systems Identify and resolve technical issues during execution of mechanical works Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other discipline engineers to ensure integrated project implementation Verify measurements, certify quantities, and assist in preparation of interim payment certificates Prepare technical inputs for progress reports and completion documentation Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements at site Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in urban infrastructure projects Experience with pumps, HVAC, piping, treatment plant equipment, or similar mechanical installations Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and specifications Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills
