About the role
Position description: To develop, validate, and optimize Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD) simulation models for full vehicle and subsystem applications to support Ride Handling, Steering, Durability, and Vehicle Performance development. The role focuses on reducing physical prototype iterations through virtual validation while ensuring robust correlation with physical testing and supporting faster product development. Job Title / Role: Design Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics / Multibody Dynamics (MBD) Simulation Engineer Department: NPD - CMB RD Section: Chassis System CMD RD Education Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering M.E./M.Tech in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics, Mechanical Systems Design, or equivalent (Preferred) Required Experience: 5-8 Years Role Develop and validate full-vehicle and subsystem MBD models using MSC ADAMS/Car, ADAMS/View, or MotionSolve. Perform Ride Handling simulations and optimize vehicle dynamics for ride comfort, handling, stability, and steering performance. Conduct suspension tuning, including spring, damper, anti-roll bar, bush, and bump stop optimization. Perform Kinematics Compliance (KC) analysis and steering system evaluations, including wobble, shimmy, returnability, and steering effort. Execute full-vehicle simulations using FTire/MF-Tyre/Pacejka tire models and correlate results with physical testing. Develop Virtual RLDA, static dynamic load generation, and WFT load cascading methodologies for durability applications. Perform Four-Poster rig simulations, durability load prediction, and correlation with proving ground test data. Process RLDA data and fatigue load analysis using nCode GlyphWorks for load spectrum generation and durability assessment. Prepare technical reports, simulation documentation, and engineering recommendations to support vehicle development. Collaborate with Design, Testing, Durability, Manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver simulation-driven vehicle performance improvements.
