Senior Frontend Developer (React)

Unico Connect is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (React) to lead frontend architecture and design-system implementation across enterprise client engagements. The role owns performance engineering, accessibility, type-safety, and the mentorship that scales the frontend practice. The position is well suited to senior frontend engineers with deep React 18+ and Next.js App Router production experience and a track record of building design systems. Responsibilities: Architect Next.js applications including App Router, server components, and edge renderingOwn design-system implementation in React with Tailwind or CSS-in-JSDrive performance including Core Web Vitals, bundle size, code splitting, lazy loading, and edge cachingImplement accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA) and SEO best practicesMentor 2-3 junior frontend engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and 1:1sPartner with designers on design tokens and component API designSet frontend testing standards (Vitest, Playwright, Storybook visual regression)Lead production incident response for frontend systemsAuthor internal frontend playbooks and onboarding documentationCalibrate the frontend interview bar and conduct senior interview loopsGovern frontend security including CSP, XSS, and CSRF mitigation patternsQualifications: 5+ years of frontend engineering with at least 2 in a senior roleDeep React 18+ and Next.js (App Router) production experienceStrong TypeScript fundamentals including generics, type inference, and strict modeProduction experience building or maintaining a design systemDeep understanding of browser internals: rendering, layout, performanceHands-on with Playwright, Vitest, and visual regression toolingCapacity to lead design-engineering handoff with senior designersExcellent code review, mentorship, and written communication skillsTrack record of shipping at least 1 product at production scaleBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field .
