Lead Oracle Database Administrator

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading Oracle database service delivery, providing technical governance, managing critical incidents, and driving database modernization and cloud migration initiatives in a large enterprise managed services environment. Your role will require strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in Oracle database administration, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Lead Oracle database service delivery and operational governance. - Own SLA compliance, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and service improvement initiatives. - Act as the primary escalation point for Severity 1 and Severity 2 Oracle incidents. - Manage change planning, CAB participation, and after-hours change execution. - Provide technical leadership for Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and database upgrade activities. - Drive Oracle migration and modernization projects, including on-premise to Azure cloud migrations. - Coordinate with Oracle support teams for issue resolution and long-term fixes. - Mentor L2/L3 DBA teams and enhance technical capabilities. - Prepare and present operational reports to customer stakeholders. - Collaborate with Service Management, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams. - Identify automation opportunities and reduce operational overhead through scripting and process improvements. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Master's Degree preferred. - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred. - ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification preferred. - Cloud Certifications (Azure/AWS/OCI) preferred. Additional Details: Immediate joiners will be given preference.
